• Friday 23 January 2026 Year 3 explore the ancient stones of Avebury Year 3 spent the day exploring Avebury's stone circle and the Alexander Keiller Museum. It was a damp day and there was lots of walking but we all had good fun and learned a lot!
• Friday 23 January 2026 Year 4 step back in time at Caerleon Our Year 4 learners visited Caerleon this week to learn about the impact of the Romans on daily life in Britain and the legacy they left behind. They visited the Roman baths, tried on armour in the legion barracks, toured the museum and took part in a workshop about Roman medicine.
• Monday 19 January 2026 Year 4 exhibition work Our Year 4 learners had an exciting opportunity to visit Aerospace Bristol where they have been invited to contribute work for an upcoming exhibition. During their visit they were given the chance to tour an air raid shelter that would have been used in World War 2.
• Monday 19 January 2026 Year 5 explore Bristol Museum Our Year 5 pupils have enjoyed an inspiring educational visit to Bristol Museum to support their learning.
• Monday 19 January 2026 Year 1 visit Bristol Old Vic Our Year 1 class started 2026 in style with an educational visit to the Bristol Old Vic theatre to watch a fantastic performance called 'Antarctica'!

• Thursday 23 October 2025 Celebrating our home learning On the last day of Term 1, the school hall was transformed into a wonderful display of our students' home learning projects. Parents and carers were invited to come and see the amazing work students have completed this term. This was a great opportunity to celebrate creativity and the effort students have shown in their learning at home. Well done to everyone involved, you should be proud.

• Friday 17 October 2025 Pumpkin playtime in Reception Learning through play! Our Reception class loved exploring pumpkins as part of their autumn activities this week.
• Friday 17 October 2025 Fun in Forest School At Filton Hill we are fortunate to have our very own 'forest'. This week it was Year 4's turn to take their learning outside and explore in nature.

• Friday 5 September 2025 Rocksteady Music Lessons We had some very exciting workshops yesterday where learners (and teachers!) got to try some electric instruments and sing lots of songs!
